Your local tv station's weather forecaster is your best friend.  The men and women who hold these jobs are in unique positions.  They are expected to deliver accurate forecasts, but also have the flexibility to fill their allotted air-time however they wish.  If they want to say hello to a community group, or mention a special birthday or special event, they can do so.  It benefits the station in many ways, too.  It shows that the weather department is deeply rooted in the community and it represents a unique opportunity for the station to reward loyal viewership.  In a business where showing personality goes a long way, it  allows the weather forecaster to stand out.  

How can this benefit you?  Invite your favorite weather forecaster to a business event.  Offer them a t-shirt or souvenir to mention later that evening during his or her weathercast.  If you take a digital photograph of the weather forecaster at your event, you can email it to the tv station so that it can be aired during the newscast and he or she can explain it during the weather segment.  Maybe you can schedule your event during the newscast, so that the weather forecaster can perform his or her weather segment live from your event.  Just be sure to plan your event for a clear, sunny day!
