My name is Nick Salvucci and I am a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism.  Located on the campus of the University of Missouri (Columbia), it is the world's first Journalism School and consistently ranked among the best.  Like many Journalists, my television broadcasting career included industry recognition with several awards.  However, these awards do not qualify me as an expert on how to influence editorial control at a local television station.  It is the rich experience I gained from working in multiple roles at KOMU-TV, WVVA-TV and WCIV-TV that has provided me with a wealth of knowledge.  My career experience included responsibilities in news and sports departments in three different markets.   I have worked as an anchor, a reporter, a producer, a photographer, an editor and a newsroom manager.  As my role in television news changed through the years, my passion remained the same.  I was committed to helping others share success stories in the television news medium.   The airwaves that your local television stations use to broadcast are publicly-owned, but the editorial process by which decisions are made are privately held.   Broadcasting is a business sustained by profitability, and seemingly it creates an invisible wall between a television newsroom and the local community.  The purpose of creating this website is to break down those barriers and help businesses gain healthy exposure by very powerful means.
